Children's Church

Worship Him.  Hear Him.  Obey Him.

"Hearts and Hands for Jesus"
We want to let Jesus change our hearts so we can use our hands for Him.
He changes our hearts when we worship Him with song,
hear Him through scripture and prayer, and when we obey Him.

What is Children's Church?

Children begin and end Sunday morning worshipping with their family in the main sanctuary.  They are dismissed after communion to take part in their very own worship service geared toward them.  During the school year, children ages 2 through Pre-Kindergarten meet in a classroom while children Kindergarten through 4th grade meet in "The Chapel" in a large group setting.  (See below for the Winter 2009 Children's Church format.)

The children sing children's worship songs, hear and read scripture passages, and interact with a leader as important Biblical points are taught.  They also take part in praying for their classmates, giving of their offering (which goes toward their own mission project!), and even sharing how God is working in their lives. Our lessons will follow this format: Bible Connection time, including a Bible memory verse, and a variety of stories, drama, crafts, or snacks.

Winter 2009: "Lead the Way, Jesus"

Welcome to the New Year teaching our young children God's Word. It is now January and we are ready to begin our new series “Lead The Way, Jesus.”  We are excited about this as we teach the children how to follow their leader, Jesus, get to know Jesus better, and learn what Jesus did.

Families will have an opportunity to interact with their child direclty as they discuss the lesson.  Each week the children will bring home their Fast Track Ticket, a take home page for each week’s lesson.  After completing the activities listed on the ticket with their family, their parent or guardian will sign it. The child will then return the signed ticket the following week -- allowing them to choose something from our new treasure chest.

This series of lessons will lead us up to Easter.  We will take a break for Easter Sunday and resume with another thirteen week series to be announced later. The preschool will continue their current lessons through May.

We hope that everyone will share in our excitement for this new adventure. Please join us as we witness how God will move in the hearts of each and every child this spring!!
